miart 2019 in Milan


miart is a fair where contemporary art, modern art and limited edition design interact with each other, exploring the relationship between the past and the present of art and presenting the widest offer to the public, from the art of the beginning of the last century up to the works of the most recent artists.

A section for galleries that show artworks made before the year 1999 in a selection that ranges from the masters of modern art to artists being rediscovered today is curated by Alberto Salvadori, Director, ICA, Milan.

A section for primary market galleries that focus on contemporary languages, from current classics to new and recent productions.

An invitational section (Generations), in which two galleries two galleries will share the same stand and will collaborate on a single exhibition project, is curated by Anthony Reynolds, Anthony Reynolds Gallery, London, and Chris Sharp, Writer, Independent Curator and Co-director, Lulu, Mexico City.

Decades is a section that explores the history of the 20th century, divided by decades. Each booth, through a monographic or thematic exhibition, presents a key moment of the period in question.Curated by Alberto Salvadori, Director, ICA, Milan.

Emergent is a section for galleries whose programming focuses on the artists latest generations.
Curated by Attilia Fattori Franchini, Independent Curator, London.
