Lockdown London

By Patrick Hazard

Hoe using and nettle culling
Cherries fall into my hair
I try through sweat and dust drops
To clear earth

Trees stormed by pigeons mating
Hands sore from old tools
The era of egregious sunlight
Your words

Fold the tool-work into days sprung
Like heart events by-passed
Into chlorophyll and hand scratches
A consolation
