GulfCast Conference in Doha, Qatar

The three-day aluminium conference will focus on challenges, innovations and opportunities in the industry

 

From March 2–4, 2015 Qatalum is sponsoring GulfCast, the Gulf Aluminium Casthouse Conference, to be held in Doha, under the patronage of Qatar’s esteemed Minister of Energy and Industry.

The conference will be a platform for 15 different presentations regarding a wide range of topics significant to the aluminium industry including: health and safety, sustainability, optimizing liquid metal flow and crucible skimming, reducing waste and melt loss, energy savings, new furnace technologies, re-melt and integrated production, innovations in lining materials and alloys along with a discussion of the industry’s challenges and visions of the future.

GulfCast’s distinguished speakers – including Mr. Tom Petter Johansen, CEO of Qatalum and Mr. Tim Murray, CEO, Aluminium Bahrain –  will travel from countries around the world to deliver expert insights, underscore important topics and offer recommendations regarding these key issues.

GulfCast will also provide an exceptional occasion for delegates from more than 20 different countries to meet with selected industry suppliers and benefit from hearing the latest news regarding innovation in techniques and technologies while enjoying excellent networking and learning opportunities along with inspiration and motivation.

The GulfCast conference is designed to provide a valuable forum for the diffusion of up-to-date information and to promote discussion that will benefit Casthouse Managers, Production Managers, Metallurgists, Quality and R&D personnel as well as other industry professionals. Admission to the conference is by invitation with limited delegates including a select group of quality aluminium-industry suppliers.

The event will be held at Doha’s Al Sharq Village & Spa in Qatar and attendees will enjoy social events such as a welcome reception and a dinner to be provided by the event’s organizer, Qatalum, as well as visits to some of Doha’s many attractions such as galleries, exhibitions and a museum.
